Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center
Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center is located at 9770 Autrey Mill Road across from Country Club of the South. It has 46 acres of ravine forest, with more than a mile of walking trails which wind past a scenic creek with rocky shoals, picturesque cliffs, mature trees, wildflowers, native plants and animal life.
Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area
The
Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (a National Park) is spread over a 48-mile section of the Chattahoochee River. It consists of 16 different areas or units beginning below Lake Lanier dam in Forsyth County and ending at Peachtree Creek in metro Atlanta.

Abbotts Bridge Unit
- Trails, boat launch (motor or canoe), picnic tables, picnic pavilion, restrooms. On Abbotts Bridge Road, 7.8 miles east of Old Milton Parkway, just east of the Chattahoochee River in Gwinnett County
Newtown Park
Newtown Park (a City park) is located at 3150 Old Alabama Road. Facilities include 2 softball/baseball fields, 3 soccer fields, 6 tennis courts, 2 basketball courts, a 2-mile multi-use path, 13 picnic pavilions, a dog park and a small lake.
The non-profit
Newtown Recreation runs the park. Spring and fall sports seasons include baseball, soccer and lacrosse.
Ocee Park
Ocee Park (a City park) is located at 10900 Buice Road at the corner of Kimball Bridge Road. Facilities include 7 softball/baseball fields (lighted), a pavilion, playground, 3 picnic shelters and walking/jogging track.
The non-profit
Ocee Park Athletic Association runs the park and sponsors youth baseball and softball programs for boys and girls ages 5 to 16 years old. Programs for special needs children and seniors are also offered.
Shakerag Park
Shakerag Park (a City park) is located adjacent to River Trail Middle School at 10945 Rogers Circle. Facilities include a playground, picnic shelter and a large multi-purpose athletic field.
